THE BODY BAGS ARE COMING!
Law enforcement is well represented at job fairs. It is truly a recession proof growth industry! Our sheriff declares that over 80% of crime is drug-related. Some people declare the drug war a failure. On the contrary it is fabulously successful!
Drug prohibition has a long history. Every time it is enacted crime soars along with drug-related problems. The Controlled Substances Act is a work of pure genius! It has no standards – except those established by unelected bureaucrats with a vested interest in job security. It has an established governmental agency. When did we last abolish a federal agency? The citizen taxpayer has no say in drug policy – even through their elected representatives. Only the president or major congressional leaders can put it up for a vote – which makes it easy to protect from public interest.
There are few illegal immigrants stealing our jobs; they are bringing us unregulated toxic drugs for fun and profit. They are well financed and heavily armed. They will shoot back at police and not just on sneak attack drug raids where police hold the element of surprise and double digit numbers. They will target police – including chiefs and sheriffs. Those police who denounce our drug war now will be depicted as principled – but misguided. Denouncers after casualties will be cowards. Our anti Patriot Act president will apply the same detention with coerced confessions used in Iraq on US citizenry in response – to the Mexican threat. Welcome to the police state!
Don't just dismiss these claims as hysterical paranoia. Our current president has supported every single one of Bush's anti Patriot measures including authority to spy on citizens. He has access to all the illegally obtained information about citizens and we have already detained citizens without charge or access to legal options. When violence explodes with contract killings of police and military leaders it will be alll too easy to use false associations to detain and punish acts of sedition against the government response to these killings - just as our last president used punishments against contributors to Islamic charities and anti war activists - who shared many of Bin Laden's political views. Ironically our current president will get zero resistance from his harshest critics - who fully supported every one of our last president's police state measures. He may even have to "reluctantly" follow their "recommendations" as he is in acceleration of our military involvement in the Middle East. Remember this fact: if you openly denounce these measures directed against a "foreign" threat - from Mexico -involving violence against government officials - police and military - then you can easily classified as an illegal enemy combatant. Our last president flouted decisions by our Supreme Court to desist from such abuses. As long as presidents can openly trash our constitution with impunity and a minimum of media outrage our constitution is inherently worthless. You read it here first.
